About Mo and The Mo-ment Ceremonies
Hi, I'm Mo. By day, I serve as a risk manager for the federal government, keeping a vigilant eye on potential pitfalls. After hours, I'm deeply involved in community work as the secretary of the Rowville Community Learning Centre and treasurer of the Australian Dodgeball Association. But the role that truly excites me - and one that comes with official credentials - is being your registered wedding celebrant and the heart behind The Moment Ceremonies.Why This Path?
It all began in November 2022 during my own wedding at Melbourne's Southbank. Standing there as a groom, I was profoundly moved by our celebrant's ability to transform legal formalities into a ceremony rich with personal meaning and warmth. It struck me: if my professional life revolves around connecting with people, why not channel that skill into something that celebrates love and happiness? Being part of someone's most cherished moments is an unparalleled honour. Plus, my experience delivering speeches at university graduations proved that public speaking is well within my comfort zone. Linguistically, I'm fluent in Mandarin and English (scored full marks in PTE and have taught PTE speaking), and I can comfortably converse in Cantonese, ensuring seamless communication.Professional Commitment
Passion is essential, but so is professionalism. To that end, I dedicated nine months to completing the Certificate IV in Celebrancy, officially becoming a government-authorised marriage celebrant in March 2024. And thus, The Moment Ceremonies was born.What Can I Offer You?
